Announcements and EventsJune 2010Join Novi Cantori for their annual Spring Concert series, Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 4:00 PM at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Northampton, MA. For this concert Novi Cantori will be performing music almost entirely from the nineteenth century. Highlighting their a cappella style, works include several of Sir Edward Elgar’s Part-Songs secular songs of great delicacy, beauty and inventiveness. Novi will also sing the three movement motet by Brahms, Schaffe in mir, Gott with verses taken from Psalm 51. Admission $10 ($8 students/seniors) PLANT AND TAG SALE: JUNE 19, 8 am - 1 pm We need you to start assembling your stuff and bring it in to the church Tuesday through Friday, June 15-18. We need you to divide and pot up perennials from your garden to sell. These should be brought in on the 18th. We would love you to sign up to work, on the bulletin board outside the parlors helping set up the sale, helping to sell, and helping at the clean up afterwards.2010 Golf Tournament for Haiti Relief Save the date!!! Saturday, June 19, 2010 the Seventh Annual Diocesan Golf Tournament will be held at the Southwick Country Club in Southwick, MA. Proceeds from this year's tournament will go directly to the Sisters of St. Margaret, Boston, to assist in the rebuilding of their ministry in Haiti. Bishop Scruton has invited two of the Sisters to attend the banquet and offer a brief presentation on their work in Haiti. Sisters Claire Marie Charles and Grace Gallant have agreed to come out and share their story. For more information on the Sisters of St. Margaret please visit their website at www.ssmbos.com. Golf Tournament tee-off time will be 9:30 a.m. and as always this will be a day of fellowship, fun, and a fabulous dinner!
